Overview

By requesting, scheduling, or using services provided by A Happy Host, LLC (“A Happy Host”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms establish clear expectations for service, payment, and responsibilities for both parties.

Pricing & Rates

A Happy Host periodically updates pricing to maintain quality, reliability, and service standards.

Current rates include:

Standard Service Fee: $100

Hourly Labor Rate: $75

Weekend / After-Hours Service Fee: $140

Weekend / After-Hours Hourly Rate: $115

Product Convenience Fee: 50% (covers sourcing, coordination, and storage)

Labor and shopping time are billed in 15-minute increments.

All pricing is non-negotiable. Updated pricing applies to future services only.

Service Authorization & Dispatch

By requesting or approving service, you authorize A Happy Host to schedule and dispatch technicians.

A service fee applies once a technician is scheduled.

If a service is canceled after dispatch, or if we are unable to access the property upon arrival, the service fee will still be charged due to reserved time and loss of availability.

Payments

Payment is due upon completion of services.

Clients may either:

Add a payment method on file for automatic processing, or

Submit payment manually upon receipt of the invoice

By requesting service, you agree to pay all charges associated with completed work, including labor, materials, service fees, and any additional agreed-upon charges.

Processing Fees

Payments are submitted electronically through the invoice using either credit/debit card or ACH (bank transfer).

Processing fees apply based on the selected payment method:

Credit/Debit Card: approximately 2.99% per transaction

ACH (Bank Transfer): up to 1% (subject to applicable caps)

These fees reflect the cost of electronic payment processing and are applied at the time of payment.

Late Payments

Invoices are due upon completion of services.

A 5-day grace period is provided from the invoice date.

After this period:

A late fee of $30 or 10% of the outstanding balance (whichever is greater) will be applied

Additional fees may continue to accrue until the balance is paid

Failure to remit payment may result in suspension of services, collection efforts, or a contractor’s lien in accordance with Tennessee law.

Clients are responsible for all costs associated with collection, including attorney fees and court expenses.

Scheduling & Business Hours

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, excluding holidays and high-demand event periods.

If a job must be worked into an already full schedule, it may be billed at after-hours rates. This will be communicated during scheduling.

Property Access

Clients are responsible for ensuring access to the property at the scheduled time.

If access is not available upon arrival, the service fee will still apply.

Delays caused by access issues, incorrect information, or third-party presence may result in additional charges.

Materials, Shopping & Handling

Items purchased through A Happy Host include a 50% convenience fee to cover sourcing, coordination, and handling.

If a technician must leave the job site to obtain materials, that time will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

Shipping coordination, returns, pickups, and material handling are billable services.

Package Handling Authorization

By engaging A Happy Host, you authorize us to receive, open, inspect, assemble, transport, and place items delivered on your behalf.

A Happy Host is not responsible for damage, defects, or issues related to shipping, delivery carriers, or manufacturers.

Third-Party Services

A Happy Host may coordinate or recommend third-party contractors when necessary.

These providers operate independently and may maintain separate pricing.

A Happy Host is not responsible for the performance, delays, or outcomes of third-party services.

Non-Circumvention

Clients agree not to directly engage, hire, or solicit any contractors or vendors introduced by A Happy Host outside of our services.

Violation of this provision may result in termination of services and further action if necessary.

Project Work & Deposits

Deposits may be required for larger or scheduled project work.

Refunds are structured as follows:

31+ days notice: full refund minus incurred costs

15–30 days notice: 50% refund minus incurred costs

Less than 14 days notice: non-refundable

Delays caused by client scheduling, materials, or access may result in additional charges.

Storage & Abandoned Property

Items stored on behalf of clients may be subject to storage fees after 30 days unless otherwise agreed.

Items remaining in storage beyond 90 days without direction may be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or repurposed at A Happy Host’s discretion.

Equipment & Property Responsibility

Clients are responsible for any damage, loss, or misuse of materials, equipment, or items installed, staged, or provided by A Happy Host.

Replacement and repair costs, including labor, will be billed accordingly.

Appliance Diagnostic Disclaimer

A Happy Host performs basic external diagnostics only, including visible and accessible issues such as electrical connections, water supply lines, vents, and installation concerns.

We do not perform internal appliance repairs.

If internal failure is identified, a licensed repair company will be recommended.

A Happy Host is not responsible for internal component failures, manufacturer defects, or delays associated with third-party repairs.

Inspections

Inspection services are preventative in nature and may include observations, photos, and maintenance recommendations.

Any additional repairs or services identified are billed separately.

Service Completion & Concerns

Clients must notify A Happy Host of any concerns within 48 hours of service completion.

A Happy Host must be given a reasonable opportunity to review and address any issue before outside services are engaged.

Failure to provide this opportunity may result in denial of any refund, discount, or adjustment.

Non-Payment Access Rights

To the extent permitted by law, A Happy Host reserves the right to access the property to remove or secure work performed in the event of non-payment.

Any such action will be conducted lawfully and reasonably.

Limitation of Liability

A Happy Host is not liable for indirect damages, loss of income, guest dissatisfaction, or delays outside of our control.

Liability is limited to the value of the services provided.

Confidentiality

All reports, processes, templates, and materials provided by A Happy Host are proprietary and may not be shared or distributed without written consent.

Communication Consent

By engaging A Happy Host, you agree to receive service-related communications via phone, email, or text message.

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of text messaging at any time.

Photo & Media Use

A Happy Host may capture photos or videos for documentation, quality control, and communication.

All media remains the property of A Happy Host.

Non-identifying images may be used for marketing or promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.

Electronic Signatures

Electronic signatures are legally binding and carry the same legal effect as handwritten signatures.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.

Entire Agreement

These Terms represent the full agreement between the parties and supersede any prior discussions or understandings.
